Kenny K's - Spring Zing

Well I have a Zingy card to show you today well I hope its Zingy as that's the requirement over at Kenny K's I did actually colour this on Sunday but you know what life's like yesterday I couldn't lift my head up most of the day and by tea time my headache set in and its still here but today I can cope with it and at least I managed a few comments last night if nothing else!!

My Kenny K image is Devilish Donna and can be purchased here. I have coloured my image with copics as I needed a more vibrant colour and then added glamour dust to the wings. This is the first time I have gone with orange hair and I'm loving it!

Out came my circle cutter and I cut a large pink circle, smaller white circle then the orange circle frame which was harder than I thought to do but managed it.

Out came my can't live without retro punches in medium and small in the center's I have used yellow stickles and a beautiful Viva Paper pen in bright pink and its just lush.

This beautiful ribbon has been in my stash for years I purchased it from Hobby Craft I just knew one day I would use it! The edge's of the ribbon have wire in so one edge I removed the wire and the other I just tightened it which I think looks superb.

A side view of the lush ribbon and I don't know if you can see more yellow and orange ribbon which I added before I decided on the circle. Paper is an odd one in my stash from Bo Bunny added to pink, orange & yellow Bazzil.

Challenges I am entering:

Kenny K's - Spring Zing
Paper Sundaes - Circles
Pan Pastel - Use a ribbon
Cute Card Thursday - Winged Things
Crafts and Me - Shades of Spring

Well that's it I'm afraid need a lay down! lol

Dilly Beans - Stitching (mine is faux)

More old paper's I could go on like this for years, just don't let on to my hubby!! lol

This week the theme at Dilly Beans is Stitching so if you know me you know that I do have a sewing machine but it scares me to bits it just won't go slow so mine is faux!!!

A couple of weeks ago Megan brought out more yummy digi's and this is one of them! Things are very tight here at the moment but this was a present to myself!!

The light here at the moment is rubbish and so the pictures really don't do these papers any justice. (just double clicked on the picture's and when they are enlarged the colours are much better)

You can spot the faux stitching on my plain bazzil pieces.

Used loads of different stickles and glossy accents on the eye and butterfly.

More cutting out from me you can see why I liked this paper what a beautiful find!

The challenges I am entering are:

Dilly Beans - Stitching
Delightful Challenge - Patterned paper
Cute Card Thursday - Winged things
Alphabet Challenge - 'B' Busy Bugs

That's me for today need to catch you now with your gorgeous creations.

Hope you have had a lovely weekend especially now the weather has picked up.

Love the theme this week at Tomic xx

Today I have coloured my image in proper daylight and I'm so happy with the whole card I just love all the detail and colours!

Whilst looking at today's challenges I notice CES had a blue & Cream theme this week and boy you should check out the DT inspiration its just amazing so I thought I'd go with these colours today, what a nightmare I've had a right job I have a massive amount of paper and couldn't put my hands on any blue only this checked paper from a really old pack of Laura Ashley my cream paper is a flocked design which looks lovely with the distress inks around the edges the flock looks fab where its hit! Anyway I am happy with my finished card.

Another Magnolia Oldie isn't she just beautiful and so easy to colour.

Over at TOMIC the theme is Friend Sentiment and DooHickey Dies which I have enjoyed putting together.

I have added some lovely blue flowers and a couple of silver leaves.

I Have used the following dies: DooHickey Wings, Doily, Mistletoe Border I have also used my Tim Holt Doily and a love heart corner punch.

My sentiment stamp is a Magnolia and I have added stickles and this fabulous lace from my stash!

I am entering the following challenges:

TOMIC
- Friend Sentiment & DooHickeys
Just Magnolia - Romantic Doily

I need a day light!!

Well the last few cards I have made I have coloured my images at night in my little craft room and I have been so impressed with them!!! Oh my god I woke up this morning to my poor little "Devil" who looked like he'd been cooked, that will teach me to colour at night think I need to invest in a day light!! (I have tried to tone the colour down but the image was already on my card and I didn't have time to do a new one)

My card today is for my DH's brother and wife and the image from Kenny K's is just perfect!

As you can see I have been in my old papers again and this time I only just managed to get a full piece out of my scraps for the backing piece as the rest are all cut into for the flowers. The papers I think are "Unforgettable" from Bo Bunny.

The circle behind my image has been embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder and I have also heat embossed around the black card but the powder just looks like stickles so was a bit disappointed with it!

Added this lush red ribbon, a beautiful silver corner and a couple of black feathers.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Kenny K - Embossing (Dry embossed & heat Embossed)
Joanna Sheen - Love is in the air
Allsorts - Anything Goes

Well that's it today I hope you all have a great weekend.

Dug out an oldie xxx

I'm back today with one of my first purchases from Sugar Nellie a few years ago its a Leanne Ellis design which if you check out her work its just so beautiful.

I have coloured my image with pro markers, the wings are stickles and the clock face I have added glossy accents. The image looks so much better in the flesh the shading looks fine but not sure now in the pictures think I need a lesson on shading around my image.

Didn't want to put too many flowers on my card so I have just made a lollypop flower and added a brad to the middle.

How good am I more papers from my stash these are Blonde Moments "Spring Fling" papers and I have had them for ages but thought they where perfect for spring! My border down the side is a Martha Stewart "Doily Lace" punch

Added this beautiful piece of bling, yummy yellow ribbon and stickled around the edges of the papers.

The Challenges I am entering are:

This cute little mini Tilda was a gift from my niece Kerry when I wasn't able to go to the NEC. I have coloured it with my pro markers and added glamour dust to Tilda's wings and the bunny's tail.

The ribbon which is just the perfect colour was actually off a bale of towels from next I just knew it would come in one day.

Thought I'd have a go at something different!!!

Now I'm wishing I hadn't bothered!!!

Whilst looking through yesterdays challenge blogs I saw that Donna from Craftheadcase had once again created a bendy card which is just fabulous and so I thought I would have a go!!!

Today I thought I would finish my card as last night we had our darling Granddaughter Summer and boy I did wonder why I had bothered with the something different!! Maybe its because I feel down today but here goes anyway thought I would give you all a laugh!!

This was going to my my Mothers Day card but I think it will just be a template! lol

My main Tilda is from the Candy I won on Debbie Dolphins blog at Christmas, mini cherub and this wonderful ribbon wreath stamp all coloured with pro markers but as you can see the main image I have paper pieced.

The papers are from Magnolia the colours where a bit bright so I have distressed them with vintage paper and I have added bazzil to them! The butterfly border is one of Tim Holt's.

The beautiful Tag and sentiment are from Magnolia and added so lace from my stash.

A picture of the center of the card whilst laid flat!

Fairytale xx

Well I'm still off work and cracking on with birthday cards this one is my great niece who's birthday is in March. I normally do my cards the night before so I bet there will be a lot of amazed friends out there!! lol

The challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is "Fairy Tale" and I thought I would play along!
I do love the finished card and its just perfect for little Izzy who when she's not doing rugby tackles likes having her nails painted!! I have used Tilda "Princess with a Frog" coloured with my pro markers and I have added glamour dust to her beautiful wings!

This idea with the poles and and bunting I actually saw in one of my magnolia ink magazines and so this is my take on the idea instead of using skewers which I didn't have I have painted some wooden sticks that my niece found in her works canteen!!

The ribbon has tiny love hearts on the edges and looks lovely wrapped around the poles and a little bow on the top to finish them off, the bunting flags I have glued to some beautiful pink & white twine then added the bling letters.

Found these perfect Princess papers in my stash and I aren't they just divine!

Added this cute little tag with my new "Princess" sentiment on and some flowers at the bottom of the poles to finish them off!

The challenges I am entering are:

Magnolia Stamps Lovers - Fairy Tale
Just Magnolia - Tag
Nadia's Challenge - Party
Totally Paper Crafts - Ribbons & Bows
Diva's by Design - Wings & Things
Simon Says - Tag it

Well that its for today!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Out came my Memory Box corner die which I'm also loving at the moment and this wonderful crochet circle and brads I can't tell you how lang I've had this circle it just sits in my stash waiting to be used and today its just the perfect colour!

The flowers I have cut out and edges them with distress inks shaped them and used pinflair to glue them in place.

All of the edges have been distressed and I have added stickles on the flowers and on the red berries glossy accents.
