Sunny Days xx

Well I'm back today with a card that I actually coloured with my polychromos  yesterday but never got round to finishing it as I had another one of those days and ended up having an afternoon nap to try to ease the old headache!!!

Anyway what do you think to my colouring I'm quite surprised to say it was my first attempt but I don't think the camera has done the images any justice they look so much better in the flesh.

On the my images I decided to go with the surf look for a hot sunny day on your summer holidays which I don't think we will be seeing this year.
I have used some natural hessian behind the images and I have also used a strand to thread these yummy beads where I have also dangled a beautiful starfish.  For the top to cover the large dollop of glue out came the hessian again and I used two threads to make the bow and to tie it together finally a blue button.

Tilda with her surfboard looking slightly flushed from the sun or have I overdone the rouge!!!! lol  Added stickle's and glossy accents.

The whole card where you can see the lovely distressed seaside papers which are just perfect for this scene.  Added a pile of shells to the bottom a lovely gift from Anne over at Midweek Magnolia (she sent me some lovely stamped images to play with).

Edwin with his surf board and lots of stickles.
Finally a side view of the card.

Magnolia Anniversary Card

I'm back with another Anniversary card and guess what I forgot all about it!! lol

It's my niece's 2nd Anniversary I wouldn't mind but we where talking about it last week when we crafted together and I still forgot!!

Anyway here it is and of course it can only be Tilda and Edwin as Kerry adores Magnolia's coloured with pro markers.

This little beauty only popped through my door this afternoon so I think I was meant to forget.  Aren't  they just so beautiful.
These are my Websters pages "Petite Papers  -  Ladies & Gents Trendsetter" added to dark green and red card stock.
Flowers are from my stash and again I have used my new foliage punch from L-Em along with two pins one is from Websters Pages but I must admit I am actually disappointed with them dare I say I thought they look a bit tacky!!!

The picture's are really bad the sun was out and I found it really difficult to get good pictures!

This overall view shows you the lush lace ribbon and all the bling I have added.

Challenges I am entering:

Simply Magnolia -  Garden Blooms & DT
Magnolia Down Under - Bingo Sentiment/Tilda/Lace Bearly Mine - Flowers
Papertake Weekly - Bingo (Gems/Free/Lace or Punch/Glitter/Blooms)
Addicted to stamps - One or more pins

Forever Friends Anniversary xx

Another Forever Friend this time an Anniversary card for Kerry to give to her DH of eleven years xxxx

Found this perfect decoupage in my stash (isn't it surprising what you remember you have bought)!!! I just knew one day it would come in handy!! lol

I can tell you she loved it and I just hope David did too!!! lol I did add him the crown so it was more manly although I surrounded it with pink a and red hearts.

The paper are from a 12 x 12 pad from DCWV "Madly in Love" added to red and black card stock.  The key and keyhole are a Tim Holtz die which are just perfect with these papers.  Stamped the sentiment with a tag stamp then some Woodware words.
Love the inside these papers are just so lush and superb patterns!  I found a lovely verse on the internet which I cut out again with a heart die and added some bling.

Side view where you can see I have also used the papers on the back as well and remembered to add my personal stamp!

Challenge I am entering is:

Forever Friends - Anything Goes as long as it has an animal or FF bear.

Well that's it for now will be back later to comment.

Don't forget my "thank You" candy is still running you can find it here.

Hello to my new followers I do hope that you enjoy looking at my work and find some inspiration and thanks to everyone as always for my lovely comments they really do make me smile.

GDT Spot over at Ginger Loft Challenges

A few weeks ago I won a Top 3 place over at Gingerloft Challenge and on top of the honour of being on the Top 3 I was also asked if I would like to do a Gust DT spot!

Well yes please I would love too, so here is my card.

I'm actually late posting my card as last week Tammy had to go out of town so only the DT cards where posted and then well you know me I forgot to check if it was there later in the week! LOL

Anyway better late than never.
The theme is "Vintage" and as I was able to choose a digi from gingerloft, I went straight to the vintage section and choose this beauty!

I have distress the digi with Tim Toltz inks and then added some mega flake with flitter glue then in the flower centers I have used yellow stickles.

The Prima paper is just perfect as its also has wonderful sunflowers on, I have also used this kaisercraft sentiment, some punched flowers and this beautiful vintage postcard stamp all edged with distress inks.

Added some lush lace and a marianne die butterfly with a gem body which looks perfect and here you can also see that I have distressed the paper edges.

Final picture is a side view where you can get the gorgeous shimmer of the flakes.

Challenges I am entering:

Pan Pastels - Summertime
Cute Card Thursday - Use punches or drink related
Bearly Mine - Tic Tac Toe - Dies/Flowers/Sentiment
Southern Girls - Things with Wings - Butterfly
Craft Your Days Away - Bingo Flower/Lace/Gems

Thats it for now will be going around doing my comments.

My laptop has been so slow for the last week and was so fed up with it I just kept giving up but yesterday I decided enough was enough and sat removing files, restoring etc, etc and hey presto it seems to be working!!! Not bad for a girl who isn't computer literate!! lol

Don't forget to enter my "Thank You" candy which you can find here!

Would like to say a big hello to my new followers and of course everyone who leaves me beautiful messages and takes time out to visit my blog xx

Fathers Day

I had another order this week from my Friend Kerry she needed a Father's Day card and an Anniversay.

The theme for ther Fathers Day card was either DIY disaster or England and I know she adores Forever Friends so here is my design.

How lucky was I when I went to my Niece Kerry's for some crafting she had this perfect Forever Friend image and so kingly let me borrow it!!!

I have coloured this image with my Copics as the Red's are much brighter in these than pro markers either that or I'm using the wrong colours!!  lol

Added glossy accents to his little nose which has made it a bit bigger!!! lol also to the teddy on the arch.

Used plain card in Red and black and the main distressed look paper of a sheet from Tim Holtz.

Did a border around the image and added some gold pearls, some ribbon and buttons to finish.  Can't be added all the flowers and fussy bits can you.

The middle I have inked this perfect Dad sentiment and distressed it.

I am entering the following challenges:

Delightful Challenge - One for the boys

The day has arrived for my First DT Post for Midweek Magnoliga's xxx

OMG I'm officially a Midweek Magnolia girl and here to prove it is my first DT creation.

MY word I was so excited and a little worried when I added my card as I'm so not computer literate and didn't want to end up deleting or publishing the post. lol

Well this week the theme is Recipe - 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and one Ribbon and we all get to play this week before we go into our teams.

This is my inspiration for you Tilda with Birdcage isn't she just so perfect and as always she is coloured with pro markers.

Check out this yummy paper and I still have half a sheet left with the gorgeous fairy to play with later.  You can see my one Ribbon here on top of the Marianne birdcage which is another lucky find in my stash.

Three flowers which have been cut with my new spellbinders dies and you can see I actually got out my needle and sewed the lace for the perfect place to put these 2 yummy Crystal buttons the third flower I have added a pearl brad so that it all blends perfectly. Also added green foliage which is another fab punch from L-Em (again purchased from The Craft Den along with my new spellbinder die)

Another metal corner as I love these adds that little bit of interest and I have cut out a butterfly from the paper.
A better view of the paper which is Prima from the Fairy Belle Collection called "La Spa" just jam packed with beautiful detail there is even a trellis background where I have added liquid pearl to the center of each join you really can't see much as I added it before all the detail but its there and looks fab.

Last picture is a side view where you can see the dimension of all the details I have added and the Sentiment stamp from Whimsy to finish it off. (Prima Paper, Ribbon and Sentiment stamp from the Craft Box)

I'm a Mid Week Magnolia Girl!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!

That's right I can't believe that I am actually writing this it really hasn't sunk in yet!! Me a Midweek Magnolia Girl what an achievement and such an honour to be working with such talented ladies on the DT team and of course us newbies!!!!

To say that only a few years ago when the first batch landed at The Craft Den I purchased the magazine and Cozy Tilda just to say I'd actually got a Magnolia as then I didn't really like them, how funny is that because now I'm addicted I'm just re-arranging my collection so that I actually know where there are and what exactly I have and up to now I have cataloged nearly 300!  Just don't tell the DH. LOL

Anyway I thought I would make a "Thank You" card for the ladies on the DT as I'm so overwhelmed to be on the team.

I managed to purchased the Australian Koala Tilda on eBay and as always she is coloured in with Pro Markers.

These papers are Kaiser Craft "Magic Happens" collection and just added turquoise and purple card to match up!

I have followed the Sketch over at Tilda Town and the theme at Totally Tilda "Clouds" I have used my Memory Box Small Clouds Die's and added a small sentiment "Thanks".

Look at my yummy foliage its a new punch (L-Em) I purchase at The Craft Den and I just adore it. Added some lovely flowers from my stash and a couple from some fabulous candy I won from Jacqui for the Baby Blog Hop at Totally Tilda also in the package where these beautiful turquoise gems I have added to the corners.

Getting into the Jubilee Spirit

Well at last I'm back!!!

I can't believe I've not blogged since Monday but I can't tell you what a rotten week I've had. I went to the Doctor's on Monday and she decided to change my medication well I can tell you it has made me feel so ill and sooo tired. Last night I went for a nap at 7.30 because I just felt so sick and dizzy which has now been on and off all week and well I emerged from my nap at 10am this morning!!! lol

Anyway onto my card for today I thought since it was Jubilee weekend I would get into the spirit so here it is.

Tilda with a flag from the Bon Voyage range added to Sign post and dare I say a Molly Bloom flower stamp.
I decided to paper piece the flag and dress and well my brain has done a runner and it has taken me ages its still not perfect but it will do.
The papers are Potabello and where a freebie from a magazine they where perfect as my card is 8 x 8 and these where A4!
The beautiful Red ribbon was actually from some PJ's my daughter bought for me a few years ago and on the other side it says "Disney" I knew one day it would come in handy.
Flowers are Retor punched in three sizes and added some beautiful pale blue bling.
The banner was just hand cut from the scraps and added with some little cotton bows at each end.  I have hand written "Parade" on the sign post and used two of my much loved metal corners.
Side view where you can also see the little tag which has "Miss You" stamped on and a little bow to finish.
